I’m Glenn Armstrong, a fifty-something, self-taught, multi-millionaire property investor, coach, mentor, and founder of Glenn Armstrong’s Property Millionaire Academy. I spend my time between managing my portfolio, my love of teaching, and indulging my passion for cars. I share what I’ve learned from the ‘school of hard knocks’ along the way and what it takes to become a successful property investor.

My entrepreneurial spirit and eye for an opportunity led me into many ventures, culminating in property investment. I figured out 50% of the Rich List earned their fortune from property investing, with the other 50% keeping their capital in property.

I took the knocks, rode the waves, and learned everything there is to know about property investment.  I spotted opportunities and figured out new property investment strategies. These strategies, often for a lot less than you might think and in ways you can’t imagine, are at the heart of the Academy.

The more successful that I became, the more people I met who would ask for advice, people who couldn’t find answers to their questions.

I set up the Glenn Armstrong Property Millionaire Academy to educate, coach, mentor and help those who, like me, yearned to be financially free and in charge of their own destiny.  Many of those I’ve helped have become friends and people I’ve co-invested with to extend my property portfolio.

The Property Millionaire Academy tuition is delivered in the classroom or through self-study, and for those who want to venture further, coaching, private mentoring and partnership opportunities are available.

The Academy has helped new investors well as experienced turn £100k into over £1,000,000 in 3 to 5 years.  Some people start with little from £0. Its not uncommon for me to help someone invest a few thousand from a redundancy payment and work part-time to yield over £100k within 12 months.  There’s a pathway appropriate to every person, dream and situation.

Sky’s the limit

I started in 2004 with a small sum of money and a will to succeed.  I bought six properties to rent out, but after property number six I found all my capital was tied up in deposits. I was determined not to let the dream die, so I found out everything there was to know about the property investment market: the law, the ins and outs of the mortgage market, who the key players in the system are, when and how to negotiate, where there were opportunities to exploit.  All fully legal, and all instrumental in forming my advanced strategies for property investment.

 

Once I discovered how to recycle my cash, I set myself a target of buying 52 properties in 52 weeks. I actually succeeded in buying 52 properties in 48 weeks.

These strategies have taken me to a current portfolio of numerous properties yielding a substantial monthly income.

My time is now split between increasing and developing my property investments, and the Property Millionaire Academy.  Property investing is highly rewarding, personally and financially, and a lot of fun, often it doesn’t seem like work at all.  I stay in contact with many of the Academy

The Story

Pre‒Property
Investor

I was a trainee mechanical engineer for Marconi and studying mechanical engineering at college when I realised there are better ways to make money than working for others.  I started to rent videos door-to-door from a suitcase, realised most potential customers didn’t have the machine to watch them on, so bought a few and rented those too.

My first Wunday video rental shop opened, swiftly followed by shop number 13 and many franchised ones.  I sold out to Videostore plc for stock, bought my first Lotus, then was back to square one when Videostore went bust.

Taxi Driver

With a family to support I put the hours in driving a taxi, then more hours until the only way to do more hours was get a second taxi, then a third, and fourth.  It was now I recalled a conversation with a Ferrari dealer, who said most Ferrari owners are either in IT or property.  It was out, so to build capital for property investing I needed to build the taxi fleet.

The fleet grew to thirty, at which point I turned my attention to another growing market, computer games.  I started a mail-order business that grew into a distributor.  Soon the returns outstripped the taxi business, so I sold that and within three years was turning over £12,000,000 a year and a decent profit.  Markets mature though, and big retail moved in, margins plummeted, and business became tougher than ever.  I recalled the Ferrari moment, got out of following fads, got into bricks and mortar and have never looked back.
